Customizing Email Notifications

Custom email notifications can be a huge time saver when communicating with customers. Shopflow gives you the ability to customize several different templates that you can use to clearly and efficiently communicate.

Step 1: Tap Admin > Company > Notifications

This section of the Company Configuration menu allows you to view and edit message templates for:

  • Completed work
  • Instrument shipping
  • Receipts
  • Billing
  • Partial payments
  • Estimates

Note: Use the "Jump To:" dropdown at the bottom of the page to quickly access your different templates.

Step 2: Edit your messages

You can edit these messages just as you might edit an email or any other text document. Simply tap on the relevant text box and type away.

Using Variables

One of the most powerful tools in the message editing menu is the "Insert Variables:" dropdown menu at the bottom of the page. You can use this feature to add details to your templates that will be specific to each customer who receives a templated email. This gives your automated messages a much more personalized feel, which many customers will appreciate.

Available variables include:

  • Company name
  • Remaining balance
  • Total balance
  • Instrument name
  • Customer name
  • Tracking number
To add a variable:
  • Place your text cursor wherever you want to use a variable in your message
  • Tap the "Insert Variables:" dropdown menu
  • Tap the variable you want to insert

This will insert the variable into the message, and you can continue typing as usual.

Step 3: Tap the green "Save" button at the bottom right of the page
